Falcon Ridge Ranch is located at Virgin, Utah, within 10 miles of Zion National Park, Falcon Ridge Ranch sits on twelve acres surrounded by trees, green pastures, and majestic red rock cliffs of southern Utah. Daytime skies are generally azure blue, and nights are filled with a cavalcade of stars.
Falcon Ridge Ranch is a state-licensed residential treatment facility for female adolescents, ages twelve to seventeen, who are experiencing behavioral and emotional problems that require a level of structure and care beyond that which is available in traditional outpatient clinics, but that does not require inpatient psychiatric care. We are a “staff-secured” environment, meaning that our students are under direct supervision by the staff continuously for twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Falcon Ridge Ranch has developed an effective program around the environment that it is located in. Expectations are based upon the philosophy of taking responsibility for ones actions and for care and concern for one another. The model for this comes from Positive Peer Culture. This Philosophy is evident in all the areas of the ranch.
The girls learn to demonstrate excellence in all aspects of their group living while they are at Falcon Ridge Ranch working on their issues and their own individual treatement plan.
Each day the girls, staff, teachers, and therapists work toward a day when the family will be re-united. Weekly therapy sessions, individual therapy sessions, equine therapy, groups, family weekends six times a year, academic accomplishments, residential and recreational components all play a integral part in this re-unification process. The harder everyone works the more successful the outcome. Our mission statement conveys our commitment to the girls and their families.
