Gambling addiction
Gambling is a process of entertainment gaining.
Mostly people gamble to a small stage and become
happy but some people make gambling as a regular
occupation for their earning. Some times it becomes
an addiction and let those people to face financial
problem. Today many teenagers of USA are highly
involving towards gambling. They cut their study
hours and let them towards gambling. When they
regularly defeated in the game, it makes them
depressed and sometimes they attempt to suicide.
Some of the teenagers start using alcohol and
drugs as a fashion of gambling. Sometimes this
addiction let their parents to a big problem.
When the teenagers use gambling as daily routine,
it becomes compulsive gambling.
Compulsive gambling are of two types named action
gambling and escape gambling.
The action gamblers are highly addicted and
always are risk taking. They engage themselves
towards gambling whenever they become winner.
They have a hard wish for winning the game and
for that they try more and more chances.
The escape gamblers use gambling when they feel
alone. They feel discomfort able or emotional
life crisis. The teenagers that are far from human
contact always involved in gambling as an escape
gamblers.
The gambling addiction progresses in
four phases. Those are:
The winning phase: when the teenagers start
gambling, mostly there are chances for their winning.
They experience a series of winning which encourage
them highly towards gambling involvement. This
phase is known as winning phase.
The losing phase: in the losing phase the teenagers
begins to loss. Whatever they win is losing. They
began to theft in their home or borrow money from
friends for gambling. This phase is known as losing
phase.
The depression phase: in this phase the teen
begins to spend much time in gambling. They always
use to think about the tricks for winning the
game. They try to get money illegally and always
face the condition of arrested, divorced, suicidal
feelings and alcohol and drugs use.
The hopeless phase: in this phase the teenagers
become depressed. There arises a feeling of hopelessness.
The teen in this phase are always found in jails,
clinic or suicidal attempt.
The teens with gambling problems feel that they
are worse. They feel more anxiety and depression.
These teens often fail to seek professional help.
The doctors now take interest for finding the
solution of gambling related addiction. There
are many solutions like public education for risks
occurred by gambling, therapy programs including
individual, group and family and preventive use
of technology.
