The State of West Virginia have stripped parents of their parental rights, and therefore there are no Therapeutic Boarding Schools. Essentially, for any teen, troubled or not, to receive help in the State of West Virginia they must be wards of the State, or adjudicated wards of the court (criminals). Parents with troubled teens are basically powerless.

The children (and they are children) have all the rights and the West Virginia parents have been barred from exercising any meaningful authority over their children. The parents of West Virginia all learn the hard way about the consequences of electing extreme liberal politicians over the past decades.

Having no therapeutic boarding schools for troubled teens in the State is not helpful. One of the consequences is that they have no reasonable grasp on reality, and their is a good reason why children are not able to enter into agreements or contracts until they reach the age of 18.

There are real good reasons why children are not able to drive until a certain age, and a real good reason why they can't vote or drink alcohol. There is a real good reason why children are not allowed to get married until the age of 18. But in the liberal States, such as WV, they can get abortions and they have all the rights (stopping their parents from any reasonable form of discipline, negating all parental control and parental authority).

The liberal States have some major hurdles to overcome, and the problems seem to be getting much worse, not better. Legistlation is not going to change things, but to reverse all the liberal minded political correct stupidness is the only way to overcome this problem. Unfortunately, the hardest thing to do is to uproot "entitlement", especially when it is entrenched by generations of those living off the government's provisions.

Worse yet, is the fact that the government gives the entitled people excuses, giving them less and less responsibility, and takes away their self-accountability. Generation after generation is effected.
